How to Convert Pixels to CM
The formula to convert pixels to centimeters depends on the DPI (Dots Per Inch) resolution:
CM = (Pixels ÷ DPI) × 2.54
For example, a 600 × 600 pixel image at 200 DPI = 7.62 cm × 7.62 cm.
What DPI Should I Use?
- 72–96 DPI: Screen / website images (low resolution)
- 150 DPI: Standard print quality
- 200 DPI: Most government exam portals specify this
- 300 DPI: Professional photo printing
- 600 DPI: High-quality scanning and archival
